An antique children's book entitled, 'Three Christmas Boxes' published in 1907 by McLoughlin Brothers, New York, and illustrated by artist Noble Ives. Originally published in the 1880's this edition features new illustrations which are four full page colored chromolithograph as well as line drawings and text in brown ink. McLoughlin published this tale with three different illustrations. This is a story told in verse about three brothers, Frank Best, Harry Good and Tommy Reckless, and their three dogs, and how Santa Claus tries to teach Tommy a lesson of showing regret and humility as well as being kind to animals.
This is a large over-sized paperback book with soft covers, measuring 9 3/4" x 10". The overall condition is good, with wear to the spine and covers. The pages are bound with staples and the pages are light tan color.
