Barbe (Born 1920) "Guardian of the Realm" Oil on Board. Born in Bordeaux, France in 1920, Barbé attended L'école des Beau Arts in Paris from 1937 to 1939. After serving in the Free French Navy during World War II, he resumed his study of art with different groups of L'école Morderne. Following his formalized school, Barbé launched his career as a commercial artist in France and the United States. His works are light and whimsical."
