Winifred Root was an extremely talented career artist at Walt Disney Studios. She retired to Moro Bay, CA where she lived for many years, painting mostly plein air regionally in and around Moro Bay.

She died in 1993.

Winifred Root's work is immediately recognizable by its detail and color of museum quality. A number of her works are with collectors and she is well known for her California Plein Air Landscapes.
