We had the stone tested and it tests as a ruby. BUT the test does not tell you if it is a lab made ruby or a natural ruby. From what a local jeweler told us, the only way to tell if it is natural or lab made is to send it to a GIA Certified Gemologist. Either way the stone is a real ruby.
