The company was started in 1889 in Waynesboro, VA according to a Furniture World Magazine dated 1940. They had many styles including what we now call "Mid Century." Their distinct lines were probably their way of interpreting and trying to capture some of the market/consumer interest in the Danish Modern style of the time.They were bought out by Stanley Furniture (based in Virginia) in the 1970's
