Description:

(1918-1979)
Spanish artist Jose Luis Campuzano attended the School of Arts and Functions before majoring in Philosophy at the University of Victoria. In 1955, at age 37, he traveled through South America painting and exhibiting in Uruguay, Brazil, and Argentina; his main subjects were coastal cities and ports. Jose Campuzano seascape paintings often include depictions of boats on turbulent waves with foamy peaks. 


Artist Jose Luis Campuzano won second prize for his artwork in the Collective Exposition (1971) in Artensia, Spain. Eventually moving to New York City, oil painter Jose Campuzano began to capture street scenes and create abstract artworks.
